Welcome to the AI Multi Chat Controller browser extension. Your privacy is critically important to us. We have built this extension with a strict privacy-first mindset.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what information we deliberately do not collect when you use the AI Multi Chat Controller extension ("the Extension").

1. Information We DO NOT Collect

To build trust and protect your sensitive data, we want to be absolutely clear about what we never collect, store, or transmit to our servers:

• Chat Histories & Conversations: The messages you send to and receive from the AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, etc.) are strictly between your local browser and the respective AI providers.
• Prompts & Entered Text: Anything you type into our "Global Input" console or the individual iframes is never logged by us.
• Uploaded Files: Files you drag, drop, or upload through the Extension go directly to the targeted AI platform's servers. We do not intercept, store, or view your files.
• Browsing History: While the Extension requires broad host permissions to inject our user interface into the AI web pages, we do not track or record your general web browsing history.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the absolute minimum amount of data required to provide a seamless, cloud-synced workspace experience and manage premium memberships.

If you choose to log in (via Google/Email authentication), we collect:

• Authentication Information: Your email address and unique User ID (UID), securely processed by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Workspace Preferences (Sync Data): Your layout configurations (e.g., how the panels are split), customized toolbar settings, interface theme, and any custom web URLs you add to your workspace. This data is securely stored in Google Firebase Firestore to allow your settings to sync across your devices.
• Membership Status: Information regarding whether you hold a free or premium membership to unlock specific features.

*If you do not log in, your preferences remain locally stored in your browser's local storage and no data is transmitted to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used exclusively for the single purpose of providing and improving the Extension's core functionalities:

• To allow you to log in and synchronize your customized workspace across multiple computers.
• To verify your premium membership status.
• To provide technical support if you contact us.

We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, nor do we use it for targeted advertising.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or sync data to any third parties under any circumstances.

We utilize Google Firebase as our underlying infrastructure for authentication and database storage. Firebase is heavily secured and fully compliant with major global privacy regulations. Data stored in Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

When interacting with the integrated AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), your interactions are governed by the respective privacy policies of those companies.

5. Why We Require Certain Browser Permissions

Upon installation, Chrome will alert you that the Extension can "read and change all your data on the websites you visit" or specifically on domains like chat.openai.com.

• Why we need this: This permission is strictly necessary to inject our unified Global Input UI, floating toolbar, and split-screen logic into those specific AI webpages. We must bypass native iframe restrictions (via declarativeNetRequest) to embed them in one page. We do not use these permissions to monitor your activity.

6. Data Security

We rely on Google Firebase's industry-standard security practices to protect your synced data. Communication between your browser and Firebase is encrypted via HTTPs (TLS).

7. Your Data Rights & Deletion

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information at any time.

• You can clear your localized data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension's local storage.
• If you have created an account and wish to permanently delete your account and all associated cloud-synced layout data, please contact us at the email address below (or use the "Delete Account" button within the extension's settings if available).

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Chrome Web Store policies. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy or via an in-extension notification.
